A/N: Adding Jett and Ash from my, soon to be written, story Save Me From Myself. Also TW I have changed Ash's gender.

Kimmie sighed and buried her face in her hands as two boys left the room. Z put his arms around Kimmie from behind and gave her a hug. Harper leaned against the back of the chair and shook his head softly.
"It'll be okay, K. We just haven't found the right one's yet. We trust you."
"Why did I ever even TRY to replace her? How long have I known her? All my life. She was one of the first in Antivenom! It feels like I'm just sitting here tearing apart my soul and throwing it out to some demons. No one can replace Skyllar and I don't even know why I'm trying." Kimmie objected, trying to find the edge of support in her mind.
Harper nudged Z away and went to stand in front of the chair. He sat down on the floor there and rested his chin on Kimmie's knees. He stared at her face until she looked up at him.
"We. Trust. You." he told he sternly.
"You shouldn't." Kimmie whispered.
"There's no point in trying to change our judgement, K. We know what we believe in and who we believe in. We're going to stand by you no matter what decision you make. Do you hear me?" Harper demanded.
Kimmie sighed and looked at him for a moment. She sighed again and buried her face in her hands. Her reply came out muffled,
"Yes."
Harper stood up and kissed the top of Kimmie's head. He looked up at Z who pulled the clipboard off of Kimmie's lap.
"Ash Black. Maddie's cousin. Odd. I thought he didn't like this whole gang thing." Z said, placing the clipboard back on Kimmie's lap.
Harper shrugged and walked over to the door. He yanked it open and in strolled Ashton Black, the cousin to Maddie. He grinned and flopped down in the chair in front of Kimmie. She looked up and raised her eyebrows. Then she grinned and cried,
"Oh Ash, really?!"
Ash laughed and nodded. Harper smiled and Z chuckled when Kimmie let out a shrink and flew across the room into Ash's arms. She kissed him on the cheek and said thank you over and over again.
"When did you decide to join?" Kimmie asked breathlessly when Harper finally laughed and pulled her off of the familiar boy. He pulled her onto his lap in the chair she had just left.
"I saw Baby and Maddie putting up the flyer's and it surprised me a little. Antivenom recruiting? Has something seriously gone wrong? I wondered about it. You can ask Harper and Z, I was thinking about it all day yesterday. I about drove them insane in the dorm, I'm not that quiet. Then I noticed how large Venomous had grown and I've heard a bunch of the geeks in the corner of the cafe planning something. So I decided to join. You out to rein them in though, they ARE getting out of control." Ash told her.
Kimmie clapped her hands happily and cried,
"Oh you're in! I've wanted you in since the first day we started Anitvenom! This is great! Fantastic! Amazing! Z, would you like to do the honors?"
"Of course. Follow me Ash, we have to introduce you to Baby and Maddie..again." Z laughed, walking to the door.
"Why aren't they in here?" Ash asked.
"Baby can be very...critical. Verbally. It just gets to be to much and with Maddie scolding her all the time...well I'll just try to do this next interview over their screams. Tell them only one more person to go Z. With words." she added, sternly.
Z laughed and Harper called after him,
"Till the next person to wait a second."
Z nodded and closed the door behind him and Ash. Harper turned Kimmie around in his arms and pressed his lips to hers.
They sat there kissing for a few seconds before Kimmie pulled away blushing and said,
"We should get this next person."
"I told you." Harper added smugly, slipping Kimmie off his lap and into the chair to get the door.
Kimmie was staring at the name on the clipboard as the next person walked in. Jett? No way...not Jett. Impossible. There's no way it could really be her...
Kimmie looked up and screamed. Jett laughed as Kimmie threw herself into the girls arms crying.
Harper clapped the porcelain blond lightly on the shoulder as Kimmie sobbed,
"Oh Jett! You're in! You're in! What did you get sent to West Point for?"
"I decided to follow in your footsteps. Well, retrace mine and follow in yours. Being a good girl really is no fun." Jett grinned.
"Amazing...you're here. You dyed your hair?" she added.
"Yeah, I like being blond and pale. Baby gave me the idea." Jett laughed.
"I'm so happy you're here! I've known you longer then Skyllar and you're actually a good fighter and can fend for yourself and I won't even have to set up a new formation that much..." Kimmie trailed as all her thoughts ran through her head.
"Well since I'm in then I've got some bad news for you K. Venomous is taking in recruits to." Jett sighed, holding up a flyer.
Kimmie cursed as she snatched the flyer from the girls hands. No way...
"Harper, get the rest of them in here. We need to have a meeting. Now." Kimmie ordered. |
