So it's under story section. Live with it, it's about writers anyway.

So today I was bored, and made this clique, vintage_writers. It's 16+ only, so those of you authors out there who want to break away from the stories about princesses and mermaids and bad vampire plots, you can come and learn about other mature writers, read different kinds of stories, and have people that respect you for your writing, and understand that sometimes "bad" language is necessary.

Yeah. I spent like two hours on the layout, too, so if it totally su'cks, let me know.

But yes!!!!! It should be pretty fun. Just let me know how old you are when you join so I can put you in the right age area.

This is going to sound really bratty, but I was going to make my own clique for writers of any age above six (that's fair, right?) Because there was a freaking eight year old girl who published a book. Yeah, how's that for skills? And it wasn't about ponies or magic-- it was a novel.

But as you can see, there are more writers under sixteen here than people sixteen and up. I don't know why the fifteen year olds are getting so angry though. They have a lesser time to wait to join.

I don't know if people say my stories are the best in the world, but I know they think they are pretty good. Although no one knows me so no one reads them. So if you want to read a couple of my stories and tell me what you think, I would be so happy. Now back to the topic. Many people who are under the age of 16 are really good writers. But it is your clique so you can do what you want. By the way I love the layout on the clique.

Heh. Well, I think it's a good idea. But there are loads of GOOD young writers here, so maybe there is a way you could make it a tad less exclusive? Perhaps an audition of sorts? They have to send you a sample of their work to get in? Age and competency as a writer are not as mutually exclusive as us older kids would like to believe. I mean look at the terrible story that kid under me posted....oh, wait, that was me. Heee. Well, you see what I mean though. Talent is talent, age has very little to do with it.

Still, I'd love to join. It sounds like a great idea.

wunce upon a tyme ther wuz a poonikorn maid uf lollypopz. it wuz reely pritty and it cud flie. it felll in luv w/ a wampyre maid of spurkle dust and luv. they had a courtship that was frought with danger and was really only a projection of the author's own hopeless love life and s_xual repression before getting married and having loads of little baby-sues that grew up to populate their own hopelessly cliche stories.

Yep, do you? We don't write stories about fuucking mermaids and princess! FTW?

And many of us don't actually write vampire love stories, its just they always appear on top rated for whatever reason

Well da'mn. I'm 13, as you can so clearly see.

Wait...WHAT?!?! Horrors and Scythe can't join?! As far as I know, Horrors is 12 and Scythe is 13, I think. Even if their age says they're 99 or something. Those two are awesome writers.

Anyways, whatever. Your clique, do whatever you want with it. Just saying, I'm partially with Cricket on this one.

But I'm sure you probably know of some good younger writers...like Horrors and Scythe and Cricket. Yes Cricket, you are a good writer, even if we've only seen you write a poem.
