From the dream lit streets of Paris

To the girl behind the counter at the cafe.

Waiting for the shop to close.

At least she has him waiting at home.

*

From the dream lit streets of Paris

To the boy in the office two blocks away.

Too young yet too mature for the prose.

At least he has her waiting at home.

*

From the heart achingly beautiful

To the heart strung disarray.

Hoping for something more than desperate woes.

At least there are hopes, no matter a home.

*

From him to her, from her to him

At least they have each other day by day.

At least they have each other, the ones they chose.

At least they have each other, alone at home.

Ah, yes. I remember that poem. This poem has a nostalgic tune to it. It makes you long for something you lost. I like it. Sad little song...

On a happier note, how was Homecoming?

Pretty. Like a sad little song. (As sad on Bellebuse's poem Paris). Yes, very very much like a sad little song.
